I actually really enjoy PMR, I would even say right now it is my go too...

I was disappointed at launch for sure, but hey, I am a grown up, I sucked it up and gave it a few months, I don't want to see people fired etc, modern launches are pants and its a big shame that we now almost except this.

I though am very pleased with the game now...

Really like the sounds, top draw
Like the car options (more a classics man), but big plus is the classes are full of cars, none of this its 2000 GT but with only a single model
Physics I also really enjoy, cars feel pretty planted until you really push, I like the feel
Performance recently has gone from pretty poor, to 60 fps, and it has a little of that fuzz that's not so great, but the leaf's etc give a nice real world vibe, replays look nice and for a change worth watching.
Each update really does make it better

Would like to see classic versions of tracks, or even made up tracks that look classic to fit the cars

Have they done me right? yep, I must be 'one of those people, who makes choices without listening to others', terrible right!

Now we are talking I had that exact model 1970 240Z with those exact rims. Except mine was orange instead of red. This was by far the best car I ever owned and never realised it until I sold it. Also mine was in MPH which was rare for the 240's in Australia most had converted to KPH

The outrage bait posts are entirely predictable. Entire university psychology departments now devote serious study to this phenomenon, alongside the broader pathology of the toxic manosphere. I know this because I attended an open day with my daughter, who is studying psychology, and it was remarkable and enlightening to see how thoroughly this culture has been dissected in academia.

As for the influencer class on YouTube, the formula is now tediously familiar and boring. Every thumbnail must resemble a minor nervous breakdown, complete with exaggerated facial expressions and a background designed to look like the aftermath of a domestic riot. Naturally, this must be accompanied by some grotesque inflation of reality such as “iRacing served me a legal notice!” because moderation and accuracy are fatal to the algorithmic gods they worship.

I totally understand your reasoning T-Man. I'm also aware of all the things that went wrong. If it's a duck, then let's call it a duck, but I have seen it called things that were way over the line, all for some clicks and likes. Rage posts are popular these days. That's my point.

I get it and not trying to play "Whataboutism" but doesnt iRacing almost always cop this with any quarterly release or franchise news etc. I have certainly seen quite a bit of it grace the forums here. Their only crime appears to be attempting a different finacial model. Not sure I would use the term toxic. I think more calling the duck a duck, when a swan was promised. Again is anyone able to point to one possitive reveiw of this title??

In essense its simple. If you find something garbage, you just don't purchase it. There is no obligation to do so, and if you want to punish a developer, not bying its product is your best defence. I only notice that part of the community has a different agenda. There will always be good and bad games. Nevertheless, no developer deserves to be harassed or systematically brand-damaged by individuals who get off on macho talk and "hey, look at me" tactics. I have seen many influencers joining and fueling the crusade because a good rage post brings them the views, likes, and revenue. This should not be happening. My 2 cents.

It doesn't matter what they do to try and fix this game. The damage has been done. The "fixes" don't even fix anything to do with the real problems - poor physics, poorly modeled cars that are inaccurate and poor tracks. With the lies they told and dishonest practices WHY would you buy this garbage? Why not buy a game from a good publisher and devs with integrity and make accurate games? If you support this garbage, toy support a future where all games are released in this state. Integrity matters. Bankrupt S4 and Rennsport. Buy actual sim racing games not games that play at being sims, from companies that don't lie and deceive customers. Buy sims from companies that do it right. You vote for the future of racing games with your dollars.

I haven’t tried it, but my view is based on the steady decline of the SimBin legacy. GTR, GTR2, and GT Legends were superb titles, even if GTL had its critics. Since then, the quality has deteriorated almost continuously, with the farce of PCars 3 being the final act. I already thought PC2 was mediocre, though it looked good for its time.

I’ve yet to see a single reputable positive review of this new title. To me, it looks like a pale imitation of THR’s GTL mod for Assetto Corsa, with some rather questionable car choices thrown in for good measure. As much as I would say happy to be proven wrong. I honestly couldn't even see myself DL this title if it were offered for free.

To quote an old ZZ Top song "I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole". I really don't know what would make me think I have to get a new racing sim. Graphics aren't really much better, most have poor AI, no one can beat AC handling feedback and still only iRacing has the online community. It does have some cool old car renders but wouldn't be worth the money and more importantly the headache of a poor job on release. Don't even know if it ends up in the $5.99 bin that I would want to waste room on my super-fast SDD to install it.

Maybe the first update that I can kind of get my head around the driving model. First off they put in a switch to turn off the visual pace notes. I like nothing but the car and whatever dials are on the dash with no HUD stuff you don't find in real life. Even though the cars don't seem to float as much the force feedback on my Accuforce v2 wheel was. I tried setting this game up in Sim Commander and it was much better. They don't have any return to center rate and without that pull makes the cars feel like steering boats. In other rally simulators I'm with Gamer Muscle in turning off most of the feedback other that return to center and any kind of road effects. So will this be an actual game in six more 0.1 updates? Only time will tell and Assetto Corsa still wasn't complete at version 1.0 till the last tire model came out.

Fixed it, had all my cores synced, wasn't a problem before but that is old school CPU overclocking that I should probably stop doing.

This is a mess, blue screen on menu when selecting track. Never had a problem before with LMU and I run EVO just fine. Steam validation was fine. Sfc scannow also good.

My all-time favorite sim. I really like the AI which provides great, close racing and they make mistakes! The graphics are much improved, and it really doesn't bother me there is no night or wet weather modes. If you haven't already got a Ferrari, quickly grab one before the license expires!
